Takarayu is a historical public bath founded in 1927. It is located in Kitasenju in the Adachi ward of Tokyo. It is famous for its splendid veranda that faces a Japanese garden, which is affectionately called the “King of Verandas” by many diehard public bath fans. It also has an oft-talked about sauna installed, and after warming your body in this sauna, we recommend cooling down your body while gazing at the scenery from the veranda. The medicinal baths are said to be effective in warming your body from the core and promoting blood circulation. These medicinal baths are the pride of Takarayu, and will heal a day’s worth of exhaustion. We highly recommend dropping by Takarayu during your Tokyo trip.
