Enjoy Omiya, the Town of Railways!
Omiya is referred to as the Town of Railways. This area boasts The Railway Museum, which is the largest of its kind in Japan.
A wide range of train cars are displayed here, from Japan’s first locomotives to its modern Shinkansen trains. Visitors can enjoy looking at these trains, and also directly experience them while enjoying the museum’s many railway learning programs.
Both adults and children will have an amazing time!
After visiting The Railway Museum, be sure to drop by Hakushakutei, a restaurant located around a 5 minute walk from the east exit of Omiya Station!
The Omiya local cuisine Napolitan pasta is a masterpiece, said to often be eaten by railway workers in Omiya!
