The Nikko Shinko Church Chapel was designed by the American architect James Gardiner and completed in 1914. It features Gothic-style architecture with stone masonry, with beautiful stained glass decorating the interior, wrapping the chapel in a mysterious atmosphere. Nikko is famous for shrines and temples, but this atmospheric, wonderful church will make you feel like you’re not even in Japan! Be sure to drop by when you visit Nikko! *Please note that there are times when visits are not permitted due to ceremonies and services.
